Custom Tours

Birdfinders can arrange customised tours for groups or individuals because of our extensive network of agents, contacts and leaders. These tours can be to virtually anywhere in the world and can include accommodation, vehicle hire (with drivers where required), best birding sites (reports from previous tours), routes (maps, etc.), books (best field guides), local guides or leaders from the UK (from day trips to whole tours), flights and sailings, information (visas, health and security) and every other aspect. Birdfinders has already organised successful group tours to a variety of destinations (e.g. Israel, Lesvos, Texas, The Gambia, the French Lakes, Norfolk and the Isles of Scilly) for a number of RSPB groups and ornithological societies. Costa Rica

Birdfinders can arrange custom-made itineraries though Costa Rica Gateway using the network of lodges and hotels throughout the country and there is a permanently manned office in Quito to answer any questions or resolve any problems during your tour.

Ecuador

Birdfinders is the sole European agent for Neblina Forest, the top local Ecuadorian birding tour company in this safe country with an excellent infrastructure. Its leaders live in Ecuador and with the country's avifauna at 1550 species this is important! Birdfinders can arrange custom-made itineraries using the network of lodges throughout the country and there is a permanently manned office in Quito to answer any questions or resolve any problems during your tour. The Gambia

Birdfinders can arrange a variety of customised tours to The Gambia at prices from £349 for a week's B&B. Choose any accommodation from The Gambia Experience brochure and Birdfinders will book it as agents at no cost to you. If you do not book your accommodation/flight through Birdfinders we regret that we have to charge a nominal fee of £25 per person to cover the considerable cost of telephone calls and faxes to The Gambia. Day trips are available for £25 per person with a minimum of £80 per vehicle per day and a three-night/four-day up-river trip available for £150 per person with a minimum of £400 per vehicle. Additional days up-river are available at £50 per person per day with a minimum of £100 per vehicle. All trips include reliable transport and an expert local bird-guide but not food or entrance fees. The up-river trip also includes accommodation for participants, guide and driver but not food, ferries or pirogue trips that must all be paid locally.
