UNITED ARAB EMIRATES 2007

Birdfinders were in the United Arab Emirates again over Christmas and we have now finalised the arrangements for re-instating our tour after an absence of three years. This will be a three-centre tour staying at good standard hotels to ensure that we visit all the major sites in the country but keep daily driving distances down to a minimum. Because of rapid development in the country, birding sites often change so we wanted to check out some of our regular sites and find new ones! We are pleased to report that we saw all of the speciality birds that we tried for and found several new sites for species such as White-tailed Lapwing, Chestnut-bellied Sandgrouse, Black-crowned Sparrow-lark, Greater Hoopoe Lark, Ménétries Warbler and Plain Leaf-warbler. We enjoyed excellent sightings of many other birds and all of the photos in the gallery were taken by us in just five days. This re-instated tour is sure to be popular so early booking is recommended.
